Surgery is one of the most active and dynamic programs at Seven Rivers Regional. The hospital maintains seven advanced, full-service operating suites (two with "smart" integrated high definition technology) and one urology operating room. There are nine recovery beds in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for use in the post-surgical stabilization of patients. A wide range of general and specialty procedures take place in Surgical Services such as endoscopic, laparoscopic, thoracic, orthopedic, urological and vascular.

The medical center's affiliated board certified or eligible physicians perform a vast array of open and minimally invasive procedures. Seven Rivers Regional, in conjunction with its affiliated physicians, have performed many "firsts" for Citrus County and surrounding areas and we continue to bring surgical advances to our community.

In past years, the hospital has been recognized for its patient safety outcomes as well as has received a FMQAI Performance Improvement Award (2008) for efforts in the surgical care improvement program.
