Recover Close to Home

Private rooms equipped with flat-screen televisions and wireless technology, a spacious dining area and an exercise room filled with state-of-the-art equipment. When described by those who know it best, the new inpatient rehabilitation unit at Seven Rivers Regional sounds more like a five-star resort than a medical facility.

The Service

Inpatient rehabilitation provides an opportunity for recovery like no other outpatient or skilled nursing facility. Physical, occupational andNursing Station speech therapy are prescribed six days a week with the goal of receiving three hours of therapy each day. This aggressive approach has been shown to reduce length of stay, resulting in significantly better and longer lasting outcomes and allow more patients to return home (approximately 81%).

The program is also family oriented, encouraging family members to be present and participate in the rehab process.

The Rooms

Spacious private rooms designed to maximize healing potential, 24-hour nursing care and an experienced rehabilitation team come Patient Roomtogether in a homelike setting. The environment is cozy, warm and responsive.

Cherry-finished cabinets and furniture, marbled Corian countertops and large, hotel-style bathrooms seem a bit surreal in the hospital setting. But it’s all part of the master plan to help patients feel as comfortable as possible during their recovery.

The Rehabilitation Team

Led by a medical director trained in rehabilitative care, the interdisciplinary team includes rehabilitation nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, social workers and dieticians. Working together, the team provides all the nursing care needed for recovery, while immediately beginning an intensive, individualized rehabilitation program.
