Job Description

Works with Section Supervisor to perform blood tests and studies of constituents and morphology of blood.  Cultures, isolates and assists in identification of bacteria in body fluids and tissue samples.  Performs various bacteriological, mycological and parasitological tests to provide data on cause of disease.  Performs quality assurance studies, quality control actigities and investigational studies as needed.

This position is for an evening shift.

Requirements

Associates's Degree in clinical laboratory, chemical or biological science or completion of 90 semesters of academic credit required for licensure as a technologist, current Florida license as a Medical Technologist in 3 or more specialty areas and one-year experience in 3 or more areas of the laboratory required.

Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, ASCP or equivalent and 2 years laboratory experience in all areas preferred.
